Best of Bubble NY Series #5

A. Pink Chicken
Pink Chicken unveiled loads of great, new dress styles at Bubble NY. Using colourful, vintage inspired textiles, that we’ve come to expect from this wonderful label. Our favourite being the quirky owl print, in pink and navy. Any of the dresses could easily be paired with Pink Chicken’s striped knit leggings. The Ana Skirt was a classic pattern, modified to include the detail of delicate sequins. Their casual knits were on show too, along with some pretty holiday dresses made from the finest silks and brocades.
B. Lucky Fish
Handcrafted, silk-screened t-shirts from Brooklyn-based, Lucky Fish will certainly continue to be popular this coming season. Finally a label that offers a great selection of contemporary designs that the whole family can wear.
C. Simple Kids
Perfection is in the details. That’s the best way to describe this amazing, vast collection of clothing from Belgium label, Simple Kids. We saw an array of great styles and prints, combined with the smallest of details. This collection was simply flawless.
D. Sarah Waldo
Designer, Sarah Waldo used the finest of organic and natural fibers to bring her Fall 09 collection to life. Inspired by children’s curiosity and delight in the world around them, Sarah creates meticulously constructed, comfortable clothing for kids to run around in. For Fall she has introduced custom made prints – the bicycle print, Murial Tunic was simply divine. As was the delicate floral, 100% organic cotton panty and camisole set, shown above.
That concludes our 5 day, Best of Bubble NY Series. Look out for our feature story on Bubble New York in the next issue of LMNOP – due for release online, May 25.
