Japan’s darling – artist Shinzi Katoh
Blowing Bubbles by Shinzi Katoh.
The individual and charming work of Japanese artist Shinzi Katoh has been steadily making it’s way into stores this past year. He is most famous in Japan for his priceless landscape and portrait works and his collection of illustrated children’s books. Katoh’s creations now include a whole range of products, from glassware to tote bags and is gaining popularity not only here in Australia but in many other countries across the globe. Here’s a few of our favourite Shinzi Katoh designed goods.
Blowing Bubbles poster shown above is available at Kindergallery.
Left: Circus Clock. Right: Zoo drink bottle.
We love this glass Circus Clock which comes with a resin stand. It can also be mounted to a wall, but we like the idea of showcasing it on a nursery dresser or shelf. And the stainless steel Zoo drink bottle shown right, is a delightful alternative to the plastic lunch box version.
New York stamp set by Shinzi Katoh.
This New York stamp set designed by Katoh, contains 8 delicate rubber stamps, 2 ink pens and a sticker sheet. All housed in a compact wooden box with a sliding lid. There’s a great Paris stamp set as well, which is available for purchase at Monkeytail & Wellington.
Decorative Tapes by Shinzi Katoh.
Japanese masking tapes are extremely popular right now. Here’s a collection of some of Katoh’s decorative tape designs.
Repos by Shinzi Katoh.
Repos poster by Shinzi Katoh is available at Kindergallery.
