Baby & Kids World 2009: Show Highlights #2

Photos: Ian MacPherson.
A. Misatomiki Footwear
Misatomiki presented some well priced, designer shoe styles at Baby & Kids World last week. This standout collection of children’s footwear was the surprise find at this year’s fair.
B. Werkhaus Kaleidescopes
We thought these kaleidoscopes from Werkhaus, would make a fun accessory for a simple outfit. The nostalgic camera series (far right) which included 5 different models were ultra cool.
C. T’es Fou Louloup
French toy company, Ebulobo was at the fair to introduce their crazy, cuddly wolf character to the Japanese market. He’s a greedy wolf with a blue tongue, named T’es Fou Loulou. Ebulobo displayed a huge range of toys from it’s wolf series, including a delightful wolf book and a puppet that swallows the other characters.
D. Postar Backpacks
Postar, an edgy Japanese clothing line for kids has introduced a small collection of equally cool accessories to their range for next season. We really liked these simple, bright coloured backpacks.
E. Drappa Dot
Danish label Drappa Dot showcased a small selection of pieces from their Spring 2010 collection. Their fabric choices are exquisite and the quality is second to none. The Fairy Flower dress shown above was one of our show favourites.
F. Shinzi Katoh
Shinzi Katoh launched an amazing new collection of stationery and accessory designs at the fair in Tokyo. The stand was a custom built Shinzi Katoh house, brimful with enough SK product to send fans into a spin. The SK Combi Van parked beside the house was also a show stopper. Canvas tote bags are definitely a new trend and Katoh’s latest designs do not disappoint. He’s added a few new characters to the mix: Princess Mermaid, Thumbelina, Red Riding Hood, and a sweet Picnocchio. This special assembly of Katoh’s products was a real treat to see. We’ll share some more photographs on the LMNOP Blog later this month.
