Baby & Kids World 2009: Show Highlights #5
![]()
A. Right Bank Babies
Californian label, Right Bank Babies was in Japan to launch their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, Domestic Bliss. We really enjoyed viewing the new range of reversible pieces and unique cuts that Right Bank Babies are becoming well known for. A dress can become a top and pants can become shorts. A use of interesting fabric choices makes their pieces easy to layer, mix and match. Our clear favourites were the Three Pocket Top, the dreamy Antique Slip, layered with the Cecelia Day Gown and the Old Man Short for boys.
B. Jellycat
These guys are brand new from Jellycat, one of the world’s leading luxury soft toy companies based in the UK. Jellycat’s toys are extremely adorable and we’d be surprised to hear if there wasn’t one in your home. Wild Bunch Monkey and Elly (shown above) make a playful noise when you drop them.
C. Four Leaf Clover Pouches
You can now carry wet wipes in one of these clever creature pouches from Four Leaf Clover. The pouches are available in two handy sizes and they unzip to reveal a wipe.
D. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Accessories
A common theme at Baby & Kids World was character merchandise. The Very Hungry Caterpillar has recently been making his way on to all sorts of wares.
E. MT Masking Tape
If we had to guess what the number one selling product in Japan was at the moment it would have to be this – MT Masking Tape. Now, before you all start clicking through to their website let us tell you what it is first. It’s transparent tape, that can be used for just about anything. Labeling books, craft, decorating packages and creating original wall art. It peels easily off surfaces and is available in a wealth of extraordinary colours and patterns. We brought plenty home, so you can look forward to reading more about this sticky phenomenon in the next issue of LMNOP and here on our blog.
That concludes our 5 day coverage of show highlights from Baby & Kids World 2009, Japan. We’ve got loads more stories and unique finds to share with you from our trip to Tokyo. Look out for them in up-coming issues of LMNOP and right here on the LMNOP Blog.
