My all time favourite children's book (which I re-found at a local second hand book shop with the 29c sticker still on it) was and still is 'My Home' - a little golden book by Renee Bartkowski and illustrated by ROFry. It was first published in 1971 (great year that!). Totally delightful, all about where you would live if you were this animal or that, ending in the fact that it doesn't matter where your home is - as long as there are people there whom you love and love you. We read it all the time.
