LMNOP is thrilled to announce its collaboration with U.S artist and 3D illustrator, Jayme McGowan for it’s 4th annual ‘themed’ edition of LMNOP Magazine. We’re dedicating this year’s issue to the wonderful world of children’s books and Jayme has joined us to create a series of cut paper scenes, from a selection of Roald Dahl’s most treasured children’s stories.

We’re sharing snaps of her work-in-progress today – a first look at a few intricate pieces that will make up the illustration for Matilda; Dahl’s tale of an extraordinary child with rather ordinary and unpleasant parents! Head to Jayme’s blog, Roadside Projects to get a sneak peek of the finished illustration which she’s only just completed. Keep checking back to keep up-to-date with Jayme’s progress, as we preview more of her illustrations for our special book issue here on the LMNOP Blog.

How tiny are these books? Photos: Jayme McGowan.

McGowan’s whimsical imagery and unique methods of working with cut paper is a sight to behold. Check out the video below to go inside her studio for a glimpse of how she creates these amazing scenes.
