Meet Claire & Thibaud, Noah & Paige’s mum and dad
This couple bring together the best kids' brands to buyers
around the globe with their Kids Instyle trade show event.

lmnop: How were you inspired to start your business?
cc: Life Instyle was created from a need in Australia’s Tradefair industry to have a curated event with as much aesthetic charm as the products that were being represented. As the number of companies exhibiting design-driven children’s labels grew, the Kids Instyle event was born. Today the event showcases the best in designer clothes, toys and accessories available on the Australian and New Zealand market.
lmnop: What advice would you give to other parents trying to start a business?
cc: We started this business before we had the children but it does really help to love the industry you work in. Always look at the bigger picture, learn to prioritise tasks, and identify what’s important and unimportant in the long run.
lmnop: How do you juggle your business with parenthood?
cc: Ideally, not allowing work to come to the dinner table (even after a stressful day). Focus conversation on what the kids have to share.
lmnop: What’s your biggest challenge as parents?
CC: Being consistent. It’s easy to bend the rules when they get you at a weak moment, so we try to lay down the same rules. As parents growing up in different countries, we have different experiences, but essentially our values are the same.
lmnop: Describe your ideal family day.
cc: Some of our best days are when we have nowhere to be (no kids’ parties, work commitments). We start the day slowly, enjoy each other and the kids amuse themselves in the garden by drawing, playing dress-ups and chilling out. Our week is filled with rushing out the door so any chance to unwind as a family is good for all of us.
lmnop: The best piece of advice you’ll ever give to your kids?
cc: To have a sense of humour.
