Singlet Saviours

Left to right: Singlet designs by Mimco, Sambag, and Rachel Gilbert.

Every year Marquise bring together the biggest names in Australian fashion to design a fabulously unique Marquise singlet. The eye-popping results are auctioned to raise funds to support the Sydney Children’s Hospital’s Gold Week (30 May – 5 June).

This year’s designer line-up reads like a who’s who of Australian style, with names such as Miranda Kerr, Sass and Bide and Collette Dinnigan lending their considerable talents to the event.

For Camilla Freeman-Topper of camilla and marc, having children of her own makes this project especially important. It’s her fourth year of designing for Marquise but she says she never has any trouble coming up with ideas.

“It’s easy! Each year we finish the design and look forward to doing the next,” she says. “We like the singlet to have a young and fun feel to it while still retaining the camilla and marc signature.”

This year’s camilla and marc look is ruffles, “for a gorgeous, feminine feel,” she confides.

Check out all the wonderful designs on display at Westfield Bondi Junction, Sydney from 2 June – 12 June. And if you miss out on scoring your favourite at the auction, don’t miss the Limited Edition Singlet range.
