The Hot Seat

Images courtesy of Leander.
High chairs are useful but they have a definite shelf life. The Leander Chair from Danishbydesign breaks the mould. It not only lets your baby be part of the family for meals, games, craft or homework at the table, it actually grows with them until adulthood.

How does it work?
An adjustable Safety Bar (sold separately) keeps bubs from tumbles and by around two and a half years old you can remove it. Simply alter the adjustable seat and footrest as your child grows and once they’re tall enough to reach the floor, the foot-rest becomes the seat and the upper seat is removed permanently.
Sleek seat
There’s no denying the Leander beats most high chair designs hands down for looks too. Made from slightly springy European beech, it comes in natural, whitewash, walnut or black colours and eight cushion colours, so you can tailor it to suit your decor. The non-toxic varnish makes it easy to clean too, and you won’t go crazy trying to dig food out of little cracks and crevices.
Who could ask for more from a family chair?
