Perth-based artist duo Pip & Pop (Tanya Schultz and Nicole Andrijevic) have created an immersive and vibrant installation for children and families to explore in We miss you magic land! – on display now until March 4, 2012 at the Children’s Art Centre, Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Be prepared for pathways and peepholes to take your eyes on a magic, aerial ride to different worlds: a fluorescent forest filled with strange flowers, vines, mushrooms and animals; a cosmic universe with twinkly stars; and a volcanic lake with crystals, mist and liquid pools are just some of the creations you’ll see.

Make sure you check out behind-the-scenes pics of how this major Children’s Art Centre installation came together at GoMA’s We miss you magic land! flickr page. There’s some fascinating, up-close images to share with your kids – you’ll have fun spotting all the different materials they’ve used and perhaps be inspired to create your very own fantasy world at home!
