Danish designer, Ulla Bang Jørgensen has incorporated loads of quirky, ‘built-in play’ details throughout her latest collection. UBANG babblechat’s Spring/Summer line up includes pieces that come to life with wear: elephant and gorilla tees; big mouth shorts; and a brilliant new range of ‘Talkie Walkies’ socks.

Jørgensen began her career designing theatre costumes and sets, as well as custom-made puppets for shows. Her background in the theatre world served her well, when she left to create the brand’s first collection, which hit the streets of Denmark back in 2006. Today UBANG babblechat can be found in 12 countries across the globe, including Japan, Germany & Spain.

“Children are a huge inspiration to me, and I learn a lot from observing them when they make up stories. What’s so wondrous about children is that you don’t need to spell everything out for them. Often it takes a little hint, then their imagination completes the picture and the game is underway. Therefore, in my designs the story is never finished – because that’s what makes it fun: to create your own story by using (for example) a small puppet in the pocket or an animal on the sleeve, which comes alive when you move your arm.” Jørgensen says.

The full collection is now in stores. For more details visit ubang.dk
