SAKOL Sets

We introduced Sakol’s wooden Velcro blocks to you back in November 2008, in a story titled “20 things to pack when travelling with kids”. Just in case they’ve fallen off your radar, here they are again.

We love them for all sorts of reasons really, but what appealed to our editors back in 2008 was how handy the blocks would be as a toy to pack for a plane journey. Imagine how quick they’d be to retrieve off the floor when they fell from a seat tray table?
The red Velcro lining inside the box is a useful base for building, and the smaller box sets of 5 and 10 pieces would take up hardly any space in your carry-on luggage.

And for play at home – how’s this for an idea? Use the objects your kids create with Sakol as ‘models’ to learn how to draw? You can see from the pictures above, how easy it is to identify the shapes necessary to sketch anything from a scooter to a camel!
