Get your tickets quick-smart! Queenslands not-to-be-missed arts event of the year for children is on from the 12th – 17th June 2012.
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the enchanting Out of The Box Festival for Children. The spectacular biennial festival, organised by Queensland’s Performing Arts Centre, is aimed at children eight years and under and features an action-packed week of more than 50 interactive performances, workshops and free events designed to celebrate learning, play, curiosity and discovery.

Our list of must-see events include:
The Flying Orchestra – based on the book by Queensland writer and illustrator Clare McFadden, The Flying Orchestra is visual theatre and live music at its finest.
Race for the Chinese Zodiac – Gabrielle Wang’s picture book is transformed into a beautiful theatre production incorporating animation, storytelling and an original Chinese score.
Bear With Me – An intimate concert especially for younger bears and their grown-ups. Bear With Me is playful, ukulele-ful and made for joining in.
Story Dramas – Led by QUT Senior Drama Lecturer and respected Theatre Director Sean Mee and KITE Teacher Artist Adrianne Jones, children enter two different environments to play, create and take on roles as they explore a classic story.
