Dora the Explorer's Beyond the Backpack Auction.

In support of Beyond the Backpack celebrities have designed one-of-a-kind Dora-inspired backpacks which will be auctioned off on charitybuzz.com in a few days. 100% of the U.S. proceeds will benefit the Children’s Defence Fund, and international proceeds will go towards childhood education.

They sure are silly but kids around the globe love them! These inexpensive, collectable rubber bands
(Silly Bandz) are made of silicone and die molded in an endless array of colours and shapes. Kids across America appear to have started this craze earlier this year by wearing them by the armfuls and trading them with friends. This playful fashion accessory has been causing a little drama in schools – a bit of harmless fun we say!

These fun hot air balloon creations were made by clever kids at Erin Boniferro’s art studio/store, Collage Collage. During ‘Crafternoons’ in July, Erin’s students learned about famous artists and produced some art of their own: rocket ships; self portraits; macaroni necklaces; and loads of other creative projects.
